ACQUISITION OF HARVEY HOSE SUPPLIES BY PURPLE PIG

On 1 May 2008 Purple Pig (Australia) Pty Ltd acquired the business and assets of Harvey Hose Supplies., and resolved to trade collectively under the name of Purple Pig on a National basis. While the name has changed we like to think of the transaction as a merger of two long standing and successful companies supplying numerous industries across Australia with industrial hose, fittings and rubber products since 1970.

The combination of the two companies makes Purple Pig the largest independent supplier of industrial hose, fittings and rubber products within Australia. The total number of locations nationally is 13, including wholesale and retail distribution and sales; manufacturing and fabrication; and administration. The combination of the two companies will enable Purple Pig to better serve the customers of Purple Pig and Harvey Hose through a greater geographic representation and a larger product mix.
